The School of Visual Arts launched its new five year plan, with the slogan "The Way Forward", in the Summer of 2012 and needed a website that would convey the forwardness of its thinking.

The design's composition has a strong left to right movement, given the proliferation of arrows pointing to the right. The arrow element is used as navigation, as a pointer for text elements, as links, and as list elements. To convey the strength and confidence of the plan, bold serif roman numerals were used in the navigation and the typeface (Museo Slab) was chosen for headers because of its authoritarian stature.

The website launched in August, 2012. Carey Estes developed the site on the Wordpress platform.
